How to Fill A PinataFilling the pinata is the easiest part in preparing the pinata for the pinata game. It is customary to fill a pinata with tiny treats kids love, such as candy and toys (e.g. party favors such as, whistles, bouncy balls, noise makers and other toys small enough to fit through the 3-4 inch hole in the pinata). Parent's ONLY: The directions are pretty gory, but easy enough. Use a sharp cutting object (e.g. box cutter or knife), cut a "U" shape just below where the "neck" meets the "back" of the pinata. Pull the flap back and pour in your candy. Be careful not to over stuff. Typically 2-3 pounds of treats is fine. Remember to NOT use toys that are too small, as they may be choking hazards for children. Most people just use candy exclusively to fill their pinatas. NOTE: It is a universal rule of thumb that if an item can fit through a cardboard towel roll, it's a choking hazard. We sell a candy and toy mix that's great for pinata parties BUT NOT for children under the age of 3 years old. How to:: hang the pinata : play the game : make a pinata |
